Report: federal government’s immigration enforcement spending high

Immigration enforcement is an issue that has been getting a fair amount of attention in the media and public discourse in recent years. A recent report indicates that the issue of immigration enforcement has also been getting a large amount of attention from the federal government.

The report was released on Monday. The report was issued by the Migration Policy Institute, a non-partisan think tank.

The report looked at the spending and enforcement efforts of the federal government regarding immigration enforcement.

According to the report, the total amount the federal government spent on immigration enforcement in the 2012 budget year was around $18 billion. This total consists of the money spent on the immigration enforcement efforts of Customs and Border Protection, Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the US-VISIT program.

Reportedly, the total spent by the federal government on immigration enforcement in the 2012 fiscal year was greater than the total the federal government spent that fiscal year on all other federal law enforcement agencies put together.

These findings regarding immigration enforcement spending by the federal government contributed to the report’s conclusion that immigration enforcement is currently the number one law enforcement priority of the federal government.

The report’s findings give rise to some important questions. What does this high level of spending by the federal government on immigration enforcement ultimately mean? What is behind this high level of spending? What effects has this high level of spending had? What impacts has the heavy focus on immigration enforcement by the federal government had on immigrants? One wonders what the answers to these questions are.
